Description
The fusible valve is a two-position three-way nommally open "blockage and ventingtype temperature-sensitive flow control device. When the valve body temperature ex-ceeds the melting point of the solid eutectic due to high temperature or proximity to a firesource.
The valve spring will release the valve disc, thereby blocking the intake supply pres-sure and allowing the downstream (receiving circuit) pressure to be vented through theexhaust port.
The fusible valve is used to close the safety valve actuator to isolate the potential fuelsource from the fire source.
There are four common temperatures available for the fusible valve:70C 85°C 105C 124°C
